USPS Media Mail

The map below shows approximately how long it will take (in calendar days not including Sundays or holidays) for a USPS Media Mail shipment to get to you. (Estimated transit time only, allow an additional 1-3 business days for order processing.)

USPS Media Mail is 2 to 3 times cheaper than any other shipping method, especially for smaller orders. If you are ordering only 1 or 2 records for example, Media Mail will be only $2 or $3, whereas Priority Mail or UPS Ground would be at least $7 or $8.  Therefore we advise using Media Mail whenever possible, especially if you are in the Western US where it takes only a few days.

USPS Priority Mail

Note that USPS Priority Mail is about the same price as UPS Ground but is significantly faster. It gets to almost all of the US within 2 days, whereas to get any further East than Utah with UPS would require using UPS 2-day, which is much more expensive than USPS Priority Mail. In addition, UPS does not deliver on Saturdays, whereas USPS does, giving USPS yet another advantage over UPS.

With both Media Mail and Priority Mail the US Postal Service usually has better prices and delivery times than UPS. However, depending on your exact location, package weight and other options, UPS may be better – check the "Time and Cost Calculators" at the bottom of this page to find out what will work best for your particular situation and to make sure you fully understand your shipping options.

USPS First Class Mail

Note that First Class Mail can be used only for packages weighing under 13 Ounces. For example, only shipments of not more than one record or several CDs can be sent 1st Class.
